Fraser Island Adventure Tours Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Our Contract

The terms and conditions contained in this document become the entire agreed contract between you and Fraser Island Adventure Tours (ABN 80 010 870 729) (“us”, “we”, “our”) and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis. The services to be provided are referred to in your booking confirmation. By booking a tour with Fraser Island Adventure tours you are bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Quotes/Rates/Prices/Payment

All prices are inclusive of tax. Customers must pay the full price of the booking prior to departure. By providing your credit card details and accepting our Terms & Conditions, you authorise Fraser Island Adventure Tours to arrange for funds to be debited from your nominated credit card, in accordance with the terms & conditions. Bank or credit card providers may apply currency conversion fees. All bookings require a Credit Card to secure.

Agents must be approved for a credit arrangement prior to bookings.

All prices are subject to change, for up to date prices please contact Fraser Island Adventure Tours directly.

3. Bookings/Cancellations/Changes

As we are a small company and prepare all our own food, cancellation fees apply:
a) after 3.00pm day prior to tour – 100% of fare
b) failure to board – 100% of fare.
Prices are subject to change.
All bookings made before 24 hours prior to date of travel must be confirmed before 3pm the day prior to travel.
Bookings made after 3pm the day prior to travel the customer must contact Fraser Island Adventure Tours to make sure booking is secured, we cannot guarantee bookings made without contact being made for the next day’s travel.

4. Concessions

Different rates may apply to children (aged 14 years and under), adults (aged from 15 years to 64 years), senior concession (aged 65 years and above) and families comprising two adults and two children.

Family and Senior discounted rates may only apply to the Adventure Tour and are subject to availability on request. Senior discounted rates will only apply to Noosa departures.

5. Published information

Fraser Island Adventure Tours will endeavour to adhere to published/stated departure, arrival and general travel times however on occasion, external and unpredictable events may prevent us from meeting these times. In these scenarios Fraser Island Adventure Tours is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of, or consequentially upon, any abandonment of, or delay in, any departure.

6. Disruptions

Fraser Island Adventure Tours will not be held liable for unforeseen disruptions to your trip that are beyond our control (weather, natural disasters, third party service changes, etc). We will always endeavour to assist you but encourage you to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy that will cover you for unforeseen disruptions, cancelling and cutting short your trip, delayed departures, accident and medical.

7. Sickness & injury

While all care will be taken, Fraser Island Adventure Tours will not be held liable for any sickness or injury to any passenger. All pre-existing medical conditions you may have which may affect your ability to complete your tour are required to be related in the initial booking inquiry. Failure to provide this requested information may result in additional charges or non-refundable cancellation of your trip.

8. Images

Fraser Island Adventure Tours may conduct photo and video projects for the purposes of marketing and promoting its services. You consent to us using images taken of you during your tour for advertising and marketing purposes. This may include posts on social media.  Please notify your guide at the start of the tour if you do not wish to appear in any photos or video.
By postings your own photos and videos with us in social media posts, you agree that we can re-post or use such images.  We will ensure all imagery used will be credited to the original post.

9. Company Representative and Tour Leader

Our tours are conducted by a Driver/Guide. The decision of the Driver/Guide and/or Management is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveller or participating in the tour. If you fail to comply with a decision made by the Driver/Guide and/or Manager or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, you may be directed to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund.  We may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. You must always comply with the local laws and you also agree to travel responsible. 

10. General Information

In order to conduct our tours to Fraser Island we are required to collect information about person/s visiting the National Park and participating in our tours.

Please advise us of any dietary or other requirements at the time of booking and when you reconfirm your tour. Fraser Island Adventure Tours takes no liability if dietary requirement is not made.

Due to the specifications of our vehicles any requirement to bring prams, strollers, wheelchairs, luggage, or similar items on the tour vehicle must be relayed in the initial booking process prior to departure. Failure to do so may result in our inability to facilitate this request.

The tour group will remain together as a group and supervised by the Driver/Guide for most of the tour. However, there will be times that unsupervised activities will take place. Passengers may have the opportunity at various times to participate in additional activities such as a walk or swimming independently at lakes and creeks.

Passengers engaging in any activity supervised or unsupervised (i.e. Swimming, bush walking) during your tour must ensure that participation is within the range of their own abilities. The responsibility of determining his/her/other ability is the sole participant. Tours are conducted in such areas as lakes, creeks, and beaches that are not supervised by any life savers or trained person/s.

Tours are conducted in a purposely designed 4wd vehicle. Tours of this nature may be in conducted in rough and off-road conditions. Fraser Island Adventure Tours ensures best effort to maintain vehicles and tour routes however, problems may arise with vehicles which may result in the tour being cancelled, suspended, delayed or time adjusted. All tour that are overly affected by delays or cancellations will be investigated individually. These outcomes will determine the level of compensation due to each booking.

11. Complaint Process/Disputes

Where possible, we will attempt to resolve your complaint at the first point of contact. If we are unable to resolve your complaint at the first point of contact, we will undertake an investigation of your complaint and provide you with our findings. If you are satisfied with our proposed decision or actions, we will close your complaint and record the findings for our continuous improvement program. 

12. Law

Any disputes in connection with a tour or these Terms and Conditions must be initiated in the courts of Queensland, Australia. These terms and conditions apply to the extent that they are NOT inconsistent with, or in contravention of, any obligation imposed on by local law.
